If there is a fit, you book a 60-minute Development Strategy Session. We look at your position, your market, your capital, and your first or next project, and identify the biggest gap between where you are and where you want to go.

Execute with support

If we agree BuildUp is the right fit, we work through the project with you. Land, underwriting, financing, builder, breaking ground. Then we turn what worked into a stronger process for the next project.

For Qualified First-Time Developers

Break ground within 12 months, or receive your consulting fee back.

The guarantee is designed to protect serious clients who are ready to execute:

  • Complete the required BuildUp steps.
  • Stay active in the program.
  • Maintain the required credit and capital qualifications.
  • Follow the approved BuildUp process.

Meet the written conditions, and if you have not broken ground on your first home within 12 months, BuildUp refunds your consulting fee.

Full eligibility requirements and written guarantee terms are reviewed before enrollment.

The People Behind BuildUp

Built by developers who learned the expensive way.

Arthur and Ruben are active real estate developers and the co-founders of BuildUp. Over the last nine years they have developed more than 1,000 residential, commercial, and industrial lots and built and sold 262 doors. BuildUp clients have now worked on another 284 doors and counting.

Before building the process, Arthur made a $50,000 mistake in development. Then he made a $100,000 mistake. He paid for both himself. BuildUp exists so serious developers can get experienced judgment before paying that tuition through their own projects.

You are not hiring people who studied development from the outside. You are working with people who have lived through the decisions you are about to make.

Common questions.

Is BuildUp only for first-time developers?

No. We work with capital-ready first-time developers as well as active investors, builders, and developers who want to improve their deal selection, financing, team, and execution. If you already have land or a project in motion, bring it to the Strategy Session.

Is this a course?

BuildUp includes curriculum, tools, community access, and live group support. But the engagement is not built around leaving you alone with videos. The core is hands-on support around your actual project through one-on-one calls, live sessions, direct access, and project-specific guidance.

How much capital do I need?

You should have at least $50,000 liquid or clear access to the capital required for your project. Your total requirement will depend on the market, project, financing structure, credit, and lender approval.

Can you help if I already own land or have a deal?

Yes. Those are often some of the most productive Strategy Sessions, because we can begin with a real opportunity instead of a hypothetical one. We will review where the project stands and identify what needs to happen next.

Does BuildUp provide financing?

Qualified clients may be able to work through BuildUp's approved lending partner. Approval and terms depend on the borrower, credit, available capital, project, market, and lender underwriting. We cannot guarantee that every applicant will qualify for financing.

What does the engagement cost?

The consulting fee is discussed during the Development Strategy Session, after we review your application and confirm that BuildUp can help with your situation. This is a premium, hands-on consulting engagement, not a low-cost course.

How does the guarantee work?

Qualified first-time developers who complete the required work, remain active, maintain the required qualifications, and follow the approved BuildUp process are protected by the written 12-month break-ground guarantee. If all written conditions are met and you have not broken ground within 12 months, your consulting fee is refunded. The complete terms are reviewed before enrollment.

What happens after I apply?

Our team reviews your experience, capital, timeline, and goals. If your application is approved, you will be invited to choose a time for a 60-minute Development Strategy Session. If you are not ready for the consulting engagement yet, we will direct you to the best free training to help you prepare.
